fractals

ululations making love with language,
awareness, poetry.

before we spoke or wrote, we were
nomadic motion
gravitating toward a universal navel:
a reflection of sunlight.

syllabic feet and bones clicking
to the meter of steps; we are
what we have been like these words

on this page, organized
chaos: symmetry between pupil and core.
