I sit here trying to write something that sounds good and rhymes a little…it’s a lot harder to do when you’re not a poet…
I’m no fucking poet…
I’m just a guy who lost sight of the greater values in the lesser things…
I’m just a guy who wants to keep his eyes closed and pretend everything will be okay…
I’m just a guy who finds comfort in putting his thoughts on his phone…
I’m no fucking poet…
I can’t sit here and write a masterpiece…I can’t write anything that’ll get published by some big name…I can’t write something that will bring me money or fame…
I’m just a guy who likes to dwell on the positivity and the lack of creativity from the harbingers who always bring negativity…
I’m no fucking poet…
I’m just a guy with insecurities and a lack of confidence in my own abilities…I’m just a guy who wears his heart on a sleeve for the general public to see…the lust for love that I could not quite feed…
I’m no fucking poet…
I can’t sit here and tell you that I read other people’s work for inspiration…except for one…but that is for me to know and for you to never ask about…I’m stuck in a lot of old habits and can’t find a way out…I want to tell the world how I feel as scream and shout…it would make the most beautiful girl wet and start to pout…but for all the wrong reasons, laugh at loud…

I’m just a guy who will put other people’s feelings before my own…I’m just a guy who wants to rule the world through peace, love and unity…it is unclear to me how I am supposed to go about that…but it’s something to think about and help me set my thoughts free…

I’m just a regular guy with dreams and aspirations…I’m just a guy who needs a lot of love and affection…I use my writing to make these connections…I’m just a guy with an opportunity to change the landscape…there is no contract nor a mandate…just some hope on a metaphorical plate…with plenty to eat so long as I don’t take part in the gluttony or the hate…
I’m no fucking poet…
I am the rebel in disguise…who refuses to settle for first place…I want to savagely pursue my love…I will make her want to embrace…so much that it eclipses deep space…I am the embodiment of a starting pitcher that’s why I’m referred to as the ace…I will never stop at first base…I will put an end to tragedy and even the fucking arms race…
